The original sugar factory in Zvoleněves was built in 1859 by Ferdinand I, Emperor of Austria, King of Hungary-Croatia, the last crowned Czech king and owner of the Zvoleněves estate.
Following a long history and traditional production, the factory is now owned by CZV Group, a leading manufacturer and distributor specialized in classic refined beet and cane sugars, as well as innovative liquid sweeteners.
